Parliament Winter Session Live Updates, Day 15: Parliament wrapped up its Winter Session on Friday as both Houses were adjourned sine die, concluding 15 sittings in the Rajya Sabha marked by the passage of key bills, sharp opposition protests and heated debates on employment reforms, nuclear policy, and electoral issues. Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla said that the productivity of the House was 111% in this session.

VB-G RAM G Bill passed in Parliament: The Viksit Bharat Guarantee for Rozgar and Ajeevika Mission (Gramin) (VB-G RAM G) Bill was passed by Parliament amid Opposition’s protests, with the Rajya Sabha giving it its nod post midnight. Rahul Gandhi launched a sharp attack on the Modi government, alleging that the G RAM G Bill was rushed through Parliament without scrutiny and effectively dismantled two decades of MGNREGA’s rural employment framework.

The leaders thanked Birla for the conduct of the session.

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Union Ministers K Ram Mohan Naidu, Rajiv Ranjan Singh 'Lalan', Chirag Paswan, and Pralhad Joshi joined the Speaker over tea.

A day after Parliament passed the VB-G RAM G Bill that seeks to replace the 20-year-old MGNREGA, the Congress on Friday took a swipe at Prime Minister Narendra Modi saying he is suffering from a "case of acute acronym-itis".

Congress general secretary in-charge communications Jairam Ramesh posted on X a cartoon representation on X which read: "All new A.C.R.O.N.Y.M MANTRALAYA - Administrative Commission for Renaming Old Schemes -- New Yet Meaningless".

"The PM is suffering from a case of acute acronym-itis," Ramesh said in his post accompanying the cartoon.
