A 26-year-old man was found dead in Chando village in Mohali district on Tuesday.

The victim, Munish Kumar of Teur village near Kharar, was found dead with a bullet injury to the head in fields on the outskirts of Chando village.

A police officer, on condition of anonymity, said, “The victim was shot shot in the head from a close range. Although, it is too early to say anything, based on preliminary investigation, we suspect the victim was shot dead over personal enmity.

A murder case was registered under sections of the Indian Penal Code. The culprits have not been identified so far.
