Two persons were arrested on Saturday after a video went viral on social media in which they are seen allegedly stripping a man naked and forcing him to drink urine after brutally thrashing him. Though the incident took place on September 16 under Danau police station in Barmer district, police came to know about it only on Saturday after the victim approached them and lodged and FIR even as the video was making rounds on social media. After the FIR was registered, police swung into action and arrested the two accused — Tejaram Jat and Bhagwanaram — both brothers and residents of Mithabera Bamanor village in the district. ASP Jasa Ram said, “The victim approached us on Saturday and lodged an FIR even though the incident happened on September 16. As per our investigation, the accused and the victim are relatives and residents of the same village. The victim allegedly had an affair with a girl belonging to the accused family because of which they thrashed him to extract revenge. We have arrested the accused and further investigation is underway.” According to police, on the night of the incident, the victim identified as Junjharam Jat was called by the accused to their house. When Junjharam reached their house, the latter brutally assaulted him and allegedly forced him to drink urine, as per the report.
