Man held for using yellow beacon on car

A fake driving licence was also recovered from Gagandeep. Police sources said his accomplice, who was also sitting in the car, introduced himself as a brother of one of the serving IG of Punjab Police, which was found to be a bogus claim. Thieves steal car

Chandigarh: Thieves stole a car, one laptop and raw brass material worth around Rs 5 lakh from an industrial plot in Phase 2, Ramdarbar, on Wednesday night. Pankaj, owner of the industrial plot, lodged an FIR at Sector 31 police station. Sources said the thieves entered the plot by crossing the boundary wall, opened the main gate and drove the car with the raw brass material.
