Ten persons were today arrested for allegedly disrupting a religious prayer meet and attacking the people assembled there in Mokhada taluka of the district,Thane rural police said. A group comprising about ten villagers disrupted the prayer meet being held in Thavalpada village in Mokhada at around 0300 PM yesterday. They raided the house of a tribal and beat up the inmates who had assembled to offer prayers,Mokhada police station inspector S K Walvi said. The victims condemned the attack and demanded police protection for tribals during prayer meetings.
