Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis
Workers of Communist Party of India (CPI) on Friday blocked the convoy of Chief Minister Devendra Fadanavis to register protest against the state government for failure to nab the killers of CPI leader Govind Pansare.
The local police had to intervene to remove the protestors blocking the convoy of the chief minister who arrived in the city to attend the state executive meeting of BJP.
The protestors raised slogan against the state government for being unable to nab the culprits who shot down Pansare few months ago.

The local citizens are also unhappy over the BJP failing to fulfill the assurance of stopping toll collection at the entry point of Kolhapur city. There is likely to be more protest in the next two days with the chief minister alongwith senior BJP leaders in the city.
Meanwhile, the state BJP chief Raosaheb Danave also held a closed-door meeting with the members of state BJP to discuss the performance of the state government and its plan ahead.
On Saturday, BJP chief Amit Shah would be inaugurating the state executive meeting while union minister Nitin Gadkari would preside over the concluding day function on Sunday.
