MUMBAI:Police Saturday rescued 62 girls allegedly involved in flesh trade in a raid at Mayur bar in Dombivali. Police also seized Rs 53,000 in cash from the premises. An officer said the amount was likely to go up. Owner Jairam Raikar and two employees were arrested,said Additional Commissioner of Police Firoze Patel. The bar had an attached lodge where flesh trade was being carried out,he said.

MNS corporator to join Shiv Sena

Nashik:Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS),ruling the Nashik civic body,received a jolt Saturday with its corporator Hemant Godse deciding to quit. Godse said he would join Shiv Sena in Mumbai in presence of party chief Uddhav Thackeray Sunday. Godse,who was LS candidate against Sameer Bhujbal in the last general elections,said that he was disappointed over MNS’s functioning.

3 run over by train

Thane:Three persons,including a four-year-old boy,were run over by an express train between Kopar and Diva railway stations here,police said Saturday. Inspector Mahesh Bhagwe said the incident took place Friday night around 8.30 pm when they were crossing tracks. The deceased were yet to be identified,police said.
