VHP president Ashok Singhal on Monday said the organisation has run out of all its financial resources to build a Ram temple in Ayodhya and will approach the public to generate funds.
Speaking at a function here,Singhal said a total of Rs 22 crores has been spent for the Ram temple by the VHP which now has no money to carry forward the work.
Clarifying his stand on the issue of foreign funds,Singhal said it was a bid to defame VHP by its rivals.
He said although some NRI donations were received in the form of cheques, they were returned after the government refused to give permission for the transactions.
Speaking on the issue of corruption,Singhal backed the stand of Anna Hazare and Baba Ramdev and accused the Central government of promoting corruption.
