One killed as Parveen Babi’s Junagarh house collapses

The late actress' house in Junagadh collapsed,killing one person who got trapped in the debris.

Late Bollywood actress Parveen Babi’s house in Junagadh district collapsed on Tuesday,killing one of the residents,police said.

The house was occupied by about ten members of a family,some of whom had gone out when the incident took place.

Those in the house ran out when it started to crumble but 60-year old Naseembanu Yunus Nagori was killed after being trapped in the debris,Fire Brigade officials said. The house,which was given to Parveen Babi’s father on lease by the government,was later transfered to the actress,sources from the Junagadh district authority said.

There was a dispute over the property with many relatives of Parveen Babi staking their claims to it and the matter is in court.
