British woman molested in Mumbai

The accused was arrested after a chase by two constables following an alarm raised by the woman.

A 26-year-old British national was allegedly molested by a man when she,along with two of her female friends,also foreigners,was boarding an auto rickshaw in suburban Oshiwara on Monday.

The accused identified as Gaurav Gupta,aged about 36 years,was arrested immediately,police said.

According to police,Gupta inappropriately touched the woman.

He was arrested after a chase by two constables following an alarm raised by the woman.

He was brought to Oshiwara police station and arrested under IPC section 354 (assault or criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty),police said.
