IRS officer held for stalking, sexually harassing IAS officer

A case under IPC section 354 (Assault or criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty), 354-D (Stalking), 506 (Punishment for criminal intimidation) has been lodged at Parliament Street Police Station.

An IRS officer has been arrested by the Delhi Police for allegedly stalking and sexually harassing an IAS officer, officers said.

A case under IPC section 354 (Assault or criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty), 354-D (Stalking), 506 (Punishment for criminal intimidation) has been lodged at Parliament Street Police Station.

The victim alleged that the IAS officer came in touch with her while she was working in a support group of Covid-19 in 2020.

She alleged that the accused officer tried to get close to her several times but she kept refusing her advances.

She further said that when he husband got to know about the same, he confronted the accused and told him to mend his ways.

She said that the accused kept harassing her and texting her to meet him. An officer said that the accused also came to meet her at her office and tried to intimidate her to get into a relationship with him.
