India Weather Highlights: The India Meteorological Department has forecast further advancement of Southwest monsoon into remaining parts of the country such as Rajasthan, Haryana and Punjab during the next two days. A press release issued Wednesday said active monsoon conditions are likely to continue over Northwest, Central and West India during next three days.
The weather department also predicted isolated heavy to very heavy rainfall very likely over Uttarakhand on Thursday. Light or moderate fairly widespread to widespread rainfall with isolated heavy rainfall is very likely over Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Haryana during next two days. Meanwhile, light or moderate fairly widespread to widespread rainfall with isolated heavy to very heavy rainfall is very likely over Konkan and Goa, Gujarat and Ghat areas of central Maharashtra during next four days.
Also, fairly widespread to widespread light or moderate rainfall with isolated heavy to very heavy rainfall is very likely over sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, Assam and Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh during next
four days. Meanwhile, southern parts of India including Kerala, Mahe, coastal and south interior Karnataka are very likely to receive light or moderate scattered to fairly widespread rainfall for next four days.
