Shirdi ashram nearing completion

As the ashram nears completion,Saibaba trust has sent an invite to Pranab Mukherjee.

The ambitious Saibaba ashram being built Shirdi would be completed within two months and the Saibaba trust has sent an invitation to President Pranab Mukherjee to inaugurate it,Maharashtra Agriculture Minister Radha Krishna Vikhe-Patil said here.

The Maharashtra government would also separately send an invitation to President for inaugurating it,Patil said.

The ashram,being built at an estimated cost of Rs 140 crore,will have 192 big halls and 1,536 rooms which could accommodate 15,000 devotees,Vikhe-Patil,who is also one the directors of the trust,said yesterday.

A Saibaba devotee from Chennai,K V Ramani,has donated Rs 100 crore for the project while the trust has also spent Rs 40 crore on its construction spread over 12 acres of land,he said.
