Stating that all the attacks in India had linkages across the border,he said Taliban was providing raw material to the Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT),which in turn was aiding outfits like SIMI and Indian Mujahideen.

“The Al-Qaeda has not been noticed on the Indian sub-continent as their aims are addressed by LeT,which also serves the interests of our neighbours. One can notice linkages between Al-Qaeda and LeT,” Roy said.

“What has further complicated the scenario is the half-baked Hindu terror attacks,designed to be acts of revenge. This has led to an increase in the recruitment to outfits like SIMI and IM,” he said.

There has been a spurt in recruitment of Muslims from Kerala,Bihar and Solapur and Beed in Maharashtra to carry out terror attacks,the police chief said.
