Stressing that all-round development is necessary for tackling future challenges firmly,Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has asked the educational institutions to nurture students in all spheres of life.
“The schools should nurture students academically and morally with an object to exploit their talent and every effort should be made to develop them in all spheres so that they can properly face challenges of life bravely,” Abdullah said addressing the annual day function of Sainik School at Nagrota,15-kms from here,last evening.
The Chief Minister also advised the students to dedicate themselves for taking best advantage of the educational atmosphere and also seek knowledge from their teachers.
Referring childhood as the best part of the life,Abdullah said,”we should not take away it from the children and ensure that they always remain happy as they have to face tough life in future when they go ahead”.
Recalling that he had visited this school twice earlier-once with his grandfather late Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah and later with his father Dr Farooq Abdullah,the Chief Minister said that the institution has made laudable contribution in grooming the future of young boys.
“The school has produced 350 officers in Indian army since its establishment for last over three decades and has received Raksha Mantri Trophy for contributing maximum number of officers in the army,” Major General R H Vardhan Chairman of the school said.
