Priyanka Vadra land: HC notices to information officers

The court directed both the officials to appear before a division bench on Sept 11, and explain their position.

The Himachal Pradesh HC Friday issued showcause notices to the state’s Chief Information Commissioner (CIC) Bhim Sen and Information Commissioner K D Batish, asking them why contempt of court proceeding should not be initiated against them for their order in connection with purchase of land by Priyanka Vadra near Shimla. The court directed both the officials to appear before a division bench on Sept 11, and explain their position.
