Man shot by cops for refusing extortion demand

A physically challenged person was shot twice by two constables in the city of Kanpur for refusing extortion.

A physically challenged person was shot by two constables in the city of Kanpur for refusing extortion.

Arun Kumar Mishra was shot by two constables,Vinod Kumar and Rajesh Kumar,when he was returning home on Wednesday night. Arun had gone to get insurance for his tempo and on his way back he was stopped by the two constables around 10 pm. After a search of Arun’s pockets,the constables demanded money. When Arun refused to give them any money,a scuffle ensued after which he was shot twice.

Arun Kumar Mishra has been admitted in the ICU of Madhurak Nursing Home. He hails from the village of Sadwapur under Manglapur police station of Kanpur and has an elder brother who is currently serving in NSG in Delhi.
