JKNPP to boycott meeting all-party delegation

The local unit of Samajwadi Party has also decided to keep away from meeting the delegation.

Jammu and Kashmir National Panthers Party (JKNPP) has decided to boycott the all-party delegation which is here on Tuesday to meet local party leaders to discuss the Kashmir issue.

“We have decided to boycott meeting the all-party delegation for the reason that there are no terms and conditions attached nor such a delegation has any constitutional authority to take cognisance of the facts and the security situation which today prevails in Jammu and Kashmir, particularly in the Kashmir Valley,” JKNPP Chairman Bhim Singh told reporters here on Tuesday.

Expressing a lack of confidence in the all-party delegation,Singh alleged the delegation has completely ignored the miserable plight of the people caused by the imposition of round the clock curfew in the Valley.

“Any delegation, where ruling alliance Congress and National Conference are included as a party, the Panthers Party shall boycott. It is a burden on the tax payers as well as a waste of time,” he said.

Meanwhile, the local unit of Samajwadi Party has also decided to keep away from meeting the delegation.

“We are not meeting the all-party delegation,” party president Sheikh Abdul Reham said.

Led by its party president,Shamsher Singh Manhas, the BJP,which has won 11 Assembly seats in Jammu, will be meeting the all-party delegation.
