Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah and his ministers have spent Rs 2.04 crore in the last two years on travelling,the government said on Tuesday.
Chief Minister Omar Abdullah in a written reply to JKNPP MLA Harshdev Singh stated “Rs 204.54 lakh has been incurred on the travelling of ministers,including Vice-Chairmen and Chairpersons of Boards during last two years.”
While,Rs 196.26 lakh was spent on the travels of CM,Deputy CM,ministers and ministers of state,Rs 8.25 lakh was the cost of the travels of two Chairpersons and five Vice-Chairpersons of various boards and commission as they enjoy status of MoS.
However,there is no mention about expenses incurred on the travels of two Advisors to Chief Minister who also enjoy the status of MoS.
Deputy CM spent highest amount — Rs 11.57 lakh on travelling,followed by Minister for Tourism and Culture (Rs 10.39 lakh) and Minister for Health (Rs 10.09 lakh),the reply said.
