Indian diplomat Devyani Khobragade is hopeful that her case will be taken up positively by the Narendra Modi government. The diplomat feels that it is vital as the case does not concern her as an individual, but is about an open judicial system for all diplomats.

According to Khobragade, it would have been the temptation of a green card or a visa that could have compelled her maid to complaint against her.

The diplomat, during an interview with Times Now, further said that as of now, she could not go on any foreign assignment unless has case was sorted.
