Body of abducted boy found in Satara

The body of a 7-year-old boy,who had gone missing from Andheri in Mumbai on Feb 3,was found stuffed in a bag alongside a lake in Satara.

The body of a seven year-old boy,Sahil,who had gone missing from near the Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC) in Andheri,Mumbai,on February 3,was found stuffed in a bag alongside a lake in Satara,a couple of days back.

The Satara police found Sahil’s body in a decomposed state stuffed in a resin bag in Karad,Satara district,near a lake. Local newspapers reported the incident and Dalvi’s relatives,who stayed in the area,spotted the reports and informed Sahil’s father Ankush Dalvi.

According to Deputy Commissioner of Police,Zone X,KMM Prasanna,Dalvi,a civil engineer,had registered a missing persons complaint with the police on February 3. The next day,Dalvi told police officials that he had received a phone call from some unidentified men who claimed they had kidnapped his son. “According to Dalvi,the kidnappers had demanded a ransom of Rs 15 lakh for returning Sahil unscathed,” said Prasanna.

While the boy’s family left for Satara immediately after learning about the body,both the Satara police and the MIDC police are yet to find any conclusive evidence in the case.
