Bangalore rape: School principal, director held

The principal of a private school and one of the directors of the school where a six-year-old child was raped last week were arrested on Saturday on charges of negligence. The JB Nagar police in East Bangalore arrested principal Vaijayanthi and school director Pramod Arya, Joint Commissioner of Police (law and order) K V Sharath Chandra said. “The school failed to follow police guidelines for preventing sexual assaults on children,” Chandra said.  The arrests were made after the police questioned members of the management.
