Noting that neglect of people was at the root of the Naxal problem,Yoga guru Swami Ramdev on Sunday said rapid development in the affected areas could help get rid of the menace.

“The Naxal problem has risen as people in the affected areas, have been neglected,” Ramdev told reporters here and suggested that the government should put in half the money earned from the usually mineral-rich Naxal bastions for the development of locals to overcome the problem.

If law and order problem persists in such areas even after this, the government should take action to curb it,Ramdev said.

He said his party Bharat Swabhiman will work to rid the country of corruption and unemployment.

“We will work to ensure that children get education, and bring back huge amount of black money stashed in foreign banks in 70 countries,” he said.

“Our money is running the world economy, but we are facing economic distress,” he said.
