Asaram Bapu is unwell but not absconding,apologies to mediapersons for attack: Son

Narayan Sai said that the self-styled godman was having neurological and heart problems.

The son of controversial self-styled godman Asaram Bapu has claimed that his father is not absconding and is at his Indore ashram itself. He said that the godman could not be available for questioning till now as he was unwell.

Addressing mediapersons and Asaram’s supportes in Indore,Narayan Sai said that the self-styled godman was having neurological and heart problems and was therefore taking rest. He added that the Jodhpur police was welcome to question his father once he got better.

Narayan Sai further apologised to mediapersons for the attack on them by Asaram’s supporters.

This came even as the police remained clueless about the whereabouts of Asaram,who was believed to have fled after leaving Bhopal on Friday.

Narayan Sai interacted with media after several supporters of Asaram gathered outside his Indore ashram,forcing the police to deploy additional forces.

Meanwhile,earlier on Saturday,Asaram’s supporters had attacked mediapersons outside his Jodhpur ashram.
