Four injured in shootout at Sirsa

At least four people sustained severe bullet injuries,after exchange of gunfire between two groups,associated with the liquor trade at Rania town in Sirsa district late on Thursday night.

The injured have been identified as Mohan Singh,a resident of Santnagar of Gurtej Singh group and Jaswant,Jasbir and Harbhej Singh of the rival group.

According to the police,Gurtej and Jaswant Singh have some old enmity,over the liquor trade in Sirsa. On Thursday night,both groups and their supporters entered into a clash.

While Gurtej Singh had alleged that Jaswant and Jasbir reached at his liquor vend in Rania and opened fire; the latter accused Gurtej Singh of having shot at their vehicle. All the injured are stable,police added.
