Azad Maidan riot: One more person arrested

The Mumbai Police Crime Branch on Wednesday arrested one more person in connection with the Azad Maidan riots. The total number of accused arrested in the case is now 55. Crime branch officers said that the police had found video evidence to suggest that Nadeem Sheikh had actively participated in the violence. “He was seen attacking police personnel in a video. He will be produced in court on Thursday,” said Jt CP,(Crime) Himanshu Roy. The police are also looking for the other person who had desecrated the Amar Jawan memorial during the riots.
