In a major reshuffle,the Punjab government on Sunday transferred 35 senior police officers.

In a major reshuffle,the Punjab government on Sunday transferred 35 senior police officers. They included three additional director generals of police (ADGP),two inspector generals of police (IGPs),four deputy inspector generals of police (DIGs) and 10 senior superintendents of police (SSPs).

The exercise has been carried out to fill up vacancies,said a government spokesperson. Jasminder Singh has been posted as ADGP (Crime),C S R Reddy — who is ADGP (Provisioning and Modernization) — has been given additional charge of ADGP (IT&T). Moreover,R P Meena has been made ADGP (Prisons),R P Mittal IGP (Border Range) in Amritsar,Ram Singh new Police Commissioner of Amritsar,Arun Pal Singh DIG (CM Security) and S K Singh DIG (Intelligence). While Khubi Ram has been made new DIG (Security),DIG (Intelligence) R K Jaiswal has been given the additional charge of DIG (Ropar Range).

Ashish Chaudhary was made SSP Ludhiana (Rural),PPS officer Gurpreet Singh Toor was posted as DCP (Ludhiana),Varinderpal Singh as SSP (Ferozepur),Hardial Singh Mann as SSP (Fatehgarh Sahib) and Mandeep Singh Sidhu as SSP (Hoshiarpur).

Balkar Singh is now Commandant of 36th Battalion of PAP at Bahadurgarh and Sukhminder Singh Mann the Commandant of 80th Battalion of PAP. While Kamaljieet Singh Dhillon was transferred as SSP (Tarn Taran),Dinesh Partap Singh as AIG (Personnel-I),Gurinder Singh Dhillon as SSP (Faridkot),Ravcharan Singh Brar as SSP (Kapurthala) and Narinder Bhargava as SSP (Mansa).

Harpreet Singh is AIG (Intelligence),Gurmeet Singh Chauhan commandant of 4th Commando at Mohali,Raj Jit Singh SSP (Gurdaspur) and Amar Singh Chahal SSP (Fazilka).
