Question of KJ George’s resignation does not arise: Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah

When specifically asked if George would tender his resignation, he said, “that question does not arise immediately because without looking into the copy of the order, we cannot express any opinion.”

He lashed out at the opposition for not cooperating with the government, saying they were not interested in solving problems of the state.

George earlier said he is hundred percent sure that he will come out clean.

“Whatever the court decides, we will abide by that. I am hundred percent sure I will come out clean,” he said.

Leader of the Opposition Jagadish Shettar had last week said that an impartial investigation could not be conducted as long as George remained a minister. He also said the two police officers named in the complaint should be suspended to ensure a fair investigation.

Ganapathy was found hanging from a ceiling fan in a lodge in Madikeri, Kodagu district on July 9.

In an interview to a local channel before committing suicide, Ganapahthi had alleged he was being harassed by Additional Director General Police (ADGP) (Intelligence) A M Prasad, K J George and Lokayukta (Ombudsman) Deputy Inspector General of Police Pronab Mohanty.
