Chargesheet against Peter Mukherjea in Sheena Bora murder case

The CBI today charged media baron Peter Mukherjea with murder, criminal conspiracy and destruction of evidence in the Sheena Bora murder case.

Peter, 59, was arrested last November by the investigation agency on charges of helping his wife Indrani Mukherjea murder her daughter Sheena Bora. Both husband and wife are currently lodged in different jails. READ MORE

The Supreme Court agreed to hear a petition filed by an JNU alumnus seeking action against the lawyers involved in the Patiala court assault. Journalists also took to the streets protesting against the assault and submitted a memorandum to the apex court. They also called for the sacking of Delhi Police commissioner B S Bassi.

BJP MLA OP Sharma claims he was attacked

The Bharatiya Janata Party MLA OP Sharma on Tuesday claimed that he was assaulted by a group of persons outside the Patiala House court and TV visuals showing a man beating few individual was not him.

Former DU lecturer Geelani arrested on sedition charges: SAR Geelani was arrested on Tuesday on sedition and other charges in connection with an event in which anti-India slogans were raised. Geelani was called to the police station on Monday night where he was detained and questioned for several hours, and later arrested.
