Union ministers, chief ministers of BJP-ruled states, and NDA partners lauded PM Modi's leadership and Home Minister Amit Shah's strategies for BJP's victory in the polls. BJP sweeps polls: In a return back to power after a gap of 27 years, the BJP swept the Delhi Assembly elections Saturday winning 48 of the 70 seats. The ruling AAP won 22 seats while the Congress drew a blank for the third time in a row. The AAP suffered major setback with its top leaders including Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, former Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia losing their poll battles to the BJP. Incumbent CM Atishi, the only silver lining of the AAP, won from Kalkaji by defeating BJP's Ramesh Bidhuri.
