Student admitted to hospital after thrashing by teacher

A student of a city-based private school was admitted to hospital after allegedly being thrashed by his teacher for unable to answer a question,police said on Saturday.

The incident took place at Gharonda area on Thursday when the teacher beat Shubahm Dhiman (15) with a cane after he failed to give reply to a question,they said.

The boy’s parents rushed him to a hospital as he was severely injured due to the thrashing,police said.

They also lodged a police against the teacher,who is yet to be arrested.

The boy’s parents claimed he has several injury marks of cane thrashing on his buttocks and other body parts,police said.
