Son of Samajwadi Party leader shot dead

Son of a local Samajwadi Party leader was shot dead by unidentified assailants in the Vijaynagar bypass area of the city,police said today.

26-year-old Akash Tomar,son of SP leader Kishan Singh Tomar,was returning home in his car when the incident took place yesterday evening,SSP (City) Shiv Shankar said.

He was rushed to the hospital where doctors declared him brought dead.

A native of Pilakhua in Hapur,Akash used to work as a contractor in Noida,he said,adding that hunt is on for the absconding assailants.
