In a breakthrough in the RTI activist Shehla Masood murder case,CBI is believed to have recovered the weapon used by the contract killers. The agency sources said that it had recovered a country-made pistol (katta),but whether it was the murder weapon or not could be said only after forensic reports come. Sources added that a CBI team recovered the weapon from the house of Saquib Danger,who was allegedly hired by main accused,Bhopal-based interior designer Zahida Pervez,to eliminate Shehla. According to CBI,Zahida was jealous of Shehla's purported closeness to BJP MLA,Dhruv Narayan Singh. Zahida,her close confidant Saba Faroqui,Saquib Danger,alleged contract killers Irfan and Tabish have been arrested in the case. Shehla was murdered in front of her house in Bhopal on August 16 last year.
