Juvenile arrested for molesting foreigner in hotel room

The woman filed an FIR and subsequently, the boy was remanded to judicial custody till March 19.

A 17-year-old juvenile has been arrested by Seshadripuram police for allegedly molesting a US tourist in her room in a three-star hotel in Central Bangalore.

The victim, hailing from New Jersy, had been staying in a room in the hotel for a few days. Police sources said that the incident took place Wednesday, when the victim was alone in the hotel room.

The juveline, who worked as a servant in the hotel, allegedly entered her room without permission. When she objected, he allegedly unzipped and flashed her.

The woman filed an FIR and subsequently, the boy was remanded to judicial custody till March 19.

“We have arrested the juvenile based on the complaint lodged by the woman. The boy is lodged at a juvenile home till March 19,” Alok Kumar, Additional Commissioner of Police told the Indian Express.

Further investigations into the case are undergoing.
