If one is receiving unwanted communications, it can be reported through the Chakshu Portal. Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to do it.

Step 1: Visit the Sanchar Saathi website at: https://sancharsaathi.gov.in/sfc/

Step 2: Click on the ‘Continue for reporting‘ button to report:

• It will redirect you to the complaint webpage, wherein one is required to fill mobile number or email address and verify it through an OTP (one-time password).
• Provide the details of the unwanted communication type: call, SMS or Whatsapp, the sender’s number, the date and time of the call or message, and a brief description of the content.
• The portal also allows users to attach screenshots and provide detailed complaints to combat cyber fraud effectively.

Step 3: Submit and track the complaint

Submit the complaint for the service provider to investigate the matter and take appropriate action against the sender. The portal may provide a complaint reference number for future reference. One can also track the status of the complaint.

1. KYC issues related to banks, electricity, gas connections, insurance policies, etc.

2. Impersonation as a government official or relative.

3. Fake customer care helplines.
