Mirai actors Shriya Saran, Teja Sajja and Jagapathi Bapu recently appeared on The Great Indian Kapil Show to promote their latest fantasy thriller. During the conversation, Shriya opened up about her love story with husband Andrei Koscheev, revealing how a wrong trip helped her find the right person. She also recalled how her performance in Drishyam had once left Andrei quite scared.

When The Great Indian Kapil Show host Kapil Sharma asked how she met her husband, Andei Koscheev, who is also a tennis player, Shriya Saran shared, “I had booked the wrong flight. My diving trip was in April, and I went to the Maldives in March. When I landed there, I  realized I had made a big mistake. I was alone, and I got to know that evening a beautiful yacht was going south to the Maldives. It had a diving boat, so I went. It was a beautiful sunset. I was standing on the deck, scared because I was all alone and didn’t know anyone. When I turned, Andre was behind me, that was where we met for the first time.”

Shriya added, “Both of us didn’t know anything about each other, so it was beautiful. We did the dive, and also kept talking, then we started dating. A few months later, he saw my film Drishyam and got very scared, wondering if I was not like that in real life. Then we fell in love.”

Shriya also revealed how her respect for Kapil has grown after she saw his show on Netflix.

Shriya Saran and Andrei Koshcheev got married in 2018, and they were blessed with a daughter, Radha Saran Koscheev, in 2021.
