Actor-content creator Aashika Bhatia was evicted from Bigg Boss OTT 2 on Sunday. She had joined the show last month as a wild card contestant, along with Elvish Yadav. Calling her journey in the Salman Khan-hosted show a ‘new and different’ experience, Aashika said that she had a lot of fun but also faced a few struggles. “I wish I had the opportunity to be in the show since day one, as when we entered, the connections were already made. However, I did not want to lose the opportunity that came my way and hence went for it. Overall, I can say, it was worth iṭ,” she told indianexpress.com.
Aashika, Elvish, Manisha Rani and Abhishek Malhan teamed up together in the show and became favourites of the audience. The evicted contestant shared that she had no idea that their bond was loved so much in the house. She laughed that they had named their group ‘Naag shakti’ for fun but now they have a better name given by fans – Fame. “Everyone has been telling me how I did not deserve to be evicted at this time, and there were so many who were weaker in the game than me. However, I understand it’s a game and only one will win. So everyone else would be leaving one by one.”

The actor also shared how every other contestant has been trying to create a rift in the group, especially between Abhishek Malhan and Manisha Rani. “They know we were the only strong ones in the house. Also, they are targeting Manisha unnecessarily, and accusing her of influencing us. Now that I have seen the footage, she did not say anything like that. I am feeling bad now that I doubted her. I feel sad that they even made fun of her crying after my exit. That was so heartless of them,” she shared.
Aashika further said that Pooja Bhatt has been playing the game smartly and instigating others against Manisha. She also laughed at how the changes came in after she left the house for a few hours due to a medical test. “After she came back, her attitude had completely changed. She was making such weird statements and talking ill about Manisha. She was suddenly all loving towards Abhishek. It was really funny to see her behave this way,” she said. Her feelings have been echoed by fans of the show on social media as they accused the makers of sending Pooja back, giving her an idea on how to play the game hereon.
The evicted contestant also addressed how the makers are pushing a love story between Abhishek Malhan and Jiya Shankar. She shared that Abhishek has no feelings toward Jiya and the equation is being forced into the narrative to entertain fans. The actor also opened up on the ‘social media stars vs TV actors’ debate around the show. She shared that content creators definitely have the upper hand in the game. “They are the only ones who are entertaining audience and contributing to the game. They also have a strong fan base and are being talked about online. I genuinely don’t think anyone else is doing anything in the house.”
When asked to share the highlight of her Bigg Boss journey, Aashika Bhatia said that for the last four years, she has been judged by everyone. “People have unfollowed me, called me names and had a really bad impression about me. But in just two weeks, everything changed. They like me for who I am and I am so happy about it. Whatever hurt I had about being evicted, I overcame it with the love I received from everyone. I am grateful that the world could know me better, and that makes everything worthwhile.”
On a final note, we asked Aashika if she ever felt that host Salman Khan was ever unfair to a few contestants, as claimed by fans of the show. She said that the Bollywood star is a nice human. “I don’t think he was partial as he always points out the mistake of every contestant. Even when I was wrong, he pointed out to me as he wanted me to improve my game. He spoke so kindly when I left the house,” the actor said. As readers would know Aashika worked with Salman in Prem Ratan Dhan Paayo, where she essayed the role of his younger sister.
