Amid the fights and drama in Bigg Boss OTT 2, Avinash Sachdev and Falaq Naaz forged a special bond with each other. While Avinash expressed that he likes her, Falaq assured him that she doesn’t want to hastily get involved and wants to see how the friendship evolves with time. On Sunday, when Avinash was evicted from the house, he was seen telling the housemates that someone is waiting for him. And rightly so, he already went to meet Falaq at her home for dinner along with Jad Hadid, who was also evicted along with him.

Talking about finding solace in Falaq and her friendship, Avinash told indianexpress.com how he is not an expressive person and it was a task for him to tell her about his feelings. “I never realised how it happened but as we spent more time together, I found a different kind of comfort with her. And she understood the same. That’s how we started bonding and there was nothing forcible between us. Given I have been staying alone in Mumbai for so long and being independent, I have in my mind believed myself to be strong. So to be vulnerable and express my feelings to her was the biggest challenge for me,” he shared with a smile.

When prodded that if they are ready to take this to a new level and enter into a relationship, Avinash Sachdev said, “I don’t want to think about it. She is a mature person, and so am I. We both have seen different levels of hardships and I think we want to be there for our family now. I am the only child of my parents and we have gone through a lot emotionally and financially in the last four years. There is a lot of backlog in that perspective for both me and Falaq, when it comes to our loved ones. But she is not going anywhere and we are there for each other, always.”

It was also alleged that Avinash had briefly dated Falaq’s sister Shafaq Naaz in the past. Falaq, in a chat with indianexpress.com, had earlier said that even if it was true, they are grown-ups and everyone deserves to move on. However, Avinash vehemently denied having ever dated Shafaq and shared that they featured together in a telefilm and their chemistry was much loved by the audience. He added that their on-screen pairing led people to believe that there was something between them.

Expressing amusement at how such an old incident is making headlines again, the actor shared, “I have been handling these kinds of news for the last 18 years, ever since I started my career. It doesn’t affect me at all. Be it my personal relationships, or career, everything has been questioned and I have even dealt with trolling. I really don’t care about it and really don’t pay heed to it.”

While online trolling may not bother him, we asked him about his reaction to former girlfriend Palak Purswani accusing him of cheating on her. Palak, post her eviction from Bigg Boss OTT 2, in multiple interviews alleged that Avinash cheated on her and that her father suffered a heart attack when they broke up.

“Be it her or my past, I have never bad-mouthed my relationships. However it ended, those people were an important part of my journey. Everyone knows the reality and I would prefer to respect that. It was a beautiful relationship once and I don’t want to degrade it. My friends told me that she has said a lot but I believe in letting go of the bygones. It’s been 18 months since the breakup, she needs to get over me. All I can say is that get well soon, and get over me. I think she was just frustrated to be evicted in a week and had nothing else to talk about. This is why she pounced on me. If that was the case why did she not talk about all this when we broke up or confronted me in the house?” Avinash said.

Bigg Boss OTT 2 streams on JioCinema.
