Vishwambhara teaser: Chiranjeevi steps into the role of a saviour in Mallidi Vassishta’s fantasy drama

After much anticipation, the makers of Vishwambhara have finally unveiled a power-packed teaser of the film, starring megastar Chiranjeevi in the lead role. The release comes just ahead of the actor’s 70th birthday, adding to the celebrations. Directed by Mallidi Vassishta, the movie also features Trisha Krishnan, Kunal Kapoor, Ashika Ranganath, and Isha Chawla in key roles.

The one-minute teaser sets the tone for an intense fantasy action drama. It opens with a chilling shot of scorpions crawling out of a sand mound, followed by masked warriors brutally attacking what appear to be innocent civilians. The visuals then cut to glimpses of a Shiva Linga, before unveiling Chiranjeevi in full action mode, battling enemies on a grand battleground. The teaser closes on a striking note, with the megastar holding a severed eyeball in his hand—hinting at the film’s dark, high-stakes narrative.

Originally scheduled to release this year, Vishwambhara was pushed back due to its heavy reliance on VFX. Addressing fans in a special video, Chiranjeevi explained, “Many people have been asking why Vishwambhara is taking time. The delay is a conscious and well-thought-out decision. The second half of the film relies heavily on VFX, and the team is committed to delivering the highest quality without compromise. This extra time is being spent to ensure we bring you a film that is rich in detail and leaves no room for criticism.”

The actor further shared his vision for the film, saying: “This film is made for the child in everyone, and what better season than summer to enjoy it? Vishwambhara will release in the summer of 2026. That’s my promise. Watch it, enjoy it, and shower your blessings on us.”

Beside Vishwambhara, Chiranjeevi has Mega 157 and a film with Srikanth Odela in the pipeline.
