Telugu actor Vijay Deverakonda had a close shave on Monday, October 6, when his car reportedly met with an accident in the Jogulamba Gadwal district of Telangana. He, however, escaped the mishap unhurt, according to news agency PTI. Photos and videos showing the damage his luxury car incurred have since gone viral on social media. It is learned that the accident occurred while Deverakonda was en route to Hyderabad from Puttaparthi in the neighbouring state of Andhra Pradesh. Earlier that day, videos featuring the actor at the Maha Samadhi of Sri Sathya Sai Baba in the town had surfaced online. It appears that he was returning from there when another four-wheeler grazed his car, causing minor damage to his Lexus LM 350h AWD, which reportedly costs over Rs 2 crore. The other car involved in the accident, however, sped away from the scene without stopping. The actor's driver has, nonetheless, lodged a complaint with the local police, who have registered a case and launched an investigation. Vijay Deverakonda left the location in a friend's car. On Monday night, the actor himself took to his Instagram broadcast channel to inform his fans that he was doing fine. "All is well. Car took a hit, but we are all fine. Went and did a strength workout as well and just got back home. My head hurts but nothing a biryani and sleep will not fix. So biggest hugs and my love to all of you. Although the two have yet to confirm the news, sources close to the couple told SCREEN that the intimate ceremony took place at his residence in Hyderabad, with only close family members in attendance. Deverakonda and Mandanna had appeared together at several public events recently, including the 43rd India Day Parade in New York and the Bharat Beyond Borders event. They have also worked together in movies like Geetha Govindam (2018) and Dear Comrade (2019).
