Venkat Prabhu is known for taking jibes at pop-culture figures and films. Over the years, he has made harmless fun of many films like Subramaniyapuram. The filmmaker is also known for mocking personalities like Tamil YouTuber Prashanth in his movies. And now, Venkat has set his sights on producer Dil Raju. The director, who is currently busy promoting his upcoming film Custody, starring Naga Chaitanya and Krithi Shetty, mimicked a statement of the Varisu producer.

At the audio launch of Varisu, the producer had said, “Dance venumaa dance irukku. Fight venumaa fight irukku. Vijay sir’s body language scenes venumaa, it’s there. Emotional scenes venuma athvum irkku (If you want dance, it’s got dance. If you want fights, it has it. If you want Vijay’s mass movement, it’s got that as well).”

The line became even more popular after the release of Varisu, which opened to mixed reviews. His statement was used by content creators to come up with songs, memes, and other funny videos. It is safe to say that the statement will be around in pop culture for a while, and Venkat Prabhu has made sure of that through his recent imitation.

Venkat Prabhu, at the audio launch of Custody, repeated Dil Raju’s lines and said it holds true for his film as well. This was met with a lot of laughter and claps from fans. Even Naga Chaitanya was spotted having a hearty laugh at the event.

Meanwhile, Custody, a film about a constable trying to fight the system from within, is releasing on May 12. The trailer of the movie has given a lot of hope to fans of Chay as the actor hasn’t had a hit in a while. The film has music by Yuvan Shankar Raja and Ilaiyaraaja.
