The Raja Saab first look: A peppy Prabhas promises a spellbinding, king-sized romantic horror
Days after his upcoming film Kalki 2898 AD received a release date, Prabhas has announced his next project, The Raja Saab, wherein he will join forces with Pakka Commercial director Maruthi.

After three consecutive setbacks at the box office due to the poor performances of Saaho (2019), Radhe Shyam (2022), and Adipurush (2023), Prabhas has finally managed to make a comeback with Prashanth Neel’s Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire as the movie emerged as a blockbuster, earning well over Rs 600 crore worldwide.
Now, days after his upcoming film Kalki 2898 AD received a release date, Prabhas has announced his next project, wherein he will join forces with ‘‘pakka commercial’ director Maruthi. Titled The Raja Saab, Prabhas unveiled the movie’s first look poster on Monday, sparking significant anticipation among audiences over witnessing the Rebel Star in a unique avatar.
The poster showcases Prabhas in a black shirt and colourful lungi, with a captivating smile, dancing down an empty street that appears to have recently hosted a celebration — the vibrant background, adorned with splashes of purple, features bursting firecrackers.
Touted as a spellbinding, king-sized romantic horror, The Raja Saab boasts an illustrious cast and the pan-Indian film will be released in Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, Telugu and Hindi languages. According to an official statement by its makers, The Raja Saab will be an out-and-out entertainer presenting Prabhas in a massy look.

Referring to his romantic horror, director Maruthi said, “The Raja Saab stands as one of my most ambitious projects to date. Collaborating with Prabhas and People Media Factory is both an honour and exciting for me as a filmmaker. We are geared up to offer our audiences a grand horror experience. Having Prabhas on board is particularly special as his electrifying screen presence infused with our horror narrative is surely to leave audiences amazed.”
While the film’s music is crafted by Thaman S, its cinematography is led by Karthik Palani, and VFX is handled by Kamal Kannan, known for his work in SS Rajamouli’s Magadheera and the Baahubali franchise. Bankrolled by TG Vishwa Prasad under the banner of People Media Factory, The Raja Saab is anticipated to transcend linguistic and genre boundaries.
