Pushpa 2 worldwide box office collection day 23: Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2: The Rule continues to dominate the box office even as it enters its fourth week. According to Sacnilk, a platform that tracks box office collections, the film has raked in an impressive Rs 1128.85 crore net in just 23 days in India. This is a remarkable feat, considering the film’s steady performance despite facing competition from new releases like Baby John, Marco, Barroz, Max among others.
The film’s success can be attributed to its engaging storyline, impressive performances, and the popularity of its lead stars, including Allu Arjun, Rashmika Mandanna, and Fahadh Faasil.
Pushpa 2 collected Rs 8.75 crore net on its fourth Friday bringing its total domestic earnings to Rs 1128.85 crore net. The film opened to Rs 10.65 crore during its pre-release special shows, and opened with around Rs 175 crore in India. Since then, the film has collected Rs 725.8 crore in week 1, Rs 264.8 crore in week 2, and Rs 129.5 crore in week 3.
The makers of the film, Mythri Movie Makers, took to social media to announce the latest global collections of the film. According to the makers the film, it has grossed Rs 1719.5 crore, making it the fastest Indian film to cross the Rs 1700 crore mark. Before this, it was only Baahubali 2, which made Rs 1788 crore globally. Dangal crossed the Rs 2000 crore mark, but only after its release in China.
As Pushpa 2: The Rule nears the four-week mark in theatres, it has inevitably experienced a natural decline in box office collections. On its 23rd day, the film made Rs 8.75 crore. Out of this, Rs 6.5 crore came from HIndi, Rs 1.91 crore from Telugu, Rs 30 lakh from Tamil and Kannada.
Allu Arjun, the lead actor, recently marked his virtual attendance at Nampally Court for the ongoing stampede case. The stampede occurred at Sandhya Theatre in Hyderabad during the special show of the film where a woman died. Her son is critically injured. Allu Arjun was present at the theatre when the stampede happened.
The incident has been a subject of controversy, with Arjun, the theatre management, and members of his security team being arrested in the case. However, the Telangana High Court granted Arjun interim bail for four weeks, and he was released from jail on December 14. The case is ongoing, with the police seeking time to investigate the matter further.
