Actor Priyanka Mohan on Thursday suffered minor injuries after a stage collapsed during a mall opening event in Torrur, Telangana. Congress leader Jhansi Reddy, who was also present at the inauguration, sustained injuries in the incident, according to ABP. Priyanka later took to social media to reassure her well-wishers that she suffered only minor injuries and is doing fine.
She wrote, “In light of the accident that occurred at an event I had attended in Torrur today, I wanted to let my well wishers know that I’m okay and was lucky to escape with minor injuries. My prayers and wishes for a speedy recovery to those who may have suffered any injuries in the incident. I would like to thank everyone for the kind messages of love and care they sent my way, Thank you.”
A video from the event has since gone viral. It shows the stage crowded with dignitaries and others when, in a split second, it collapses, causing panic among the crowd. Priyanka Mohan was safely escorted away after suffering minor injuries. Take a look:
Priyanka Mohan, who is predominantly known for her work in South Indian films, made her acting debut with the Kannada film Ondh Kathe Hella (2019). She has also played lead roles in the Telugu film Gang Leader (2019) and the Tamil movies Doctor (2021), Don (2022), and Etharkkum Thunindhavan (2022).
