Naga Chaitanya on Aamir Khan being a lucky charm for his films with Sai Pallavi: ‘He exudes so much positivity’
Naga Chaitanya also reminisced about the time he spent with Aamir Khan, the chief guest of the Thandel Hindi trailer launch, on the sets of Laal Singh Chaddha.

Naga Chaitanya, who has had a mixed run at the box-office with his recent set of films, is hoping his upcoming film Thandel gives his career a much-needed shot in the arm. The movie, directed by Chandoo Mondeti, also stars Sai Pallavi, and it marks the reunion of the actors after the 2021 film, Love Story. In a press event in Mumbai, Naga revealed that Thandel is not just a reunion of himself with Sai, but an interesting third person… Aamir Khan.
Aamir, who was present at the launch of the Hindi trailer of Thandel, backed by Allu Aravind and Bunny Vas, has worked with Naga in the 2022 movie, Laal Singh Chaddha. Talking about the Aamir connect with his films with Sai, Naga said, “I am not a huge believer of sentiments, but to draw an interesting parallel… after watching the trailer of Love Story, Aamir sir called me to ask if he could come for the launch event. When I said that Chiranjeevi garu has already been announced as the chief guest, etc… Aamir sir said that he just wanted to come and enjoy the event. That gave us so much positivity, and the film was a huge success.”
Connecting the dots, the actor added, “And now, Aamir sir is here again for the trailer launch of Thandel, which stars Pallavi and me. It is a truly magical moment.” Underlining his confidence in the film, and how Aamir might just be a lucky charm for them, the Premam actor said, “We do have the confidence that the film would be a success, but I do think, going forward, whenever I work with Pallavi, I will have to call Aamir sir for the trailer release event.”
Naga Chaitanya also reminisced about the time he spent with Aamir Khan on the sets of Laal Singh Chaddha, and said, “Those six months of shoot had a huge positive impact on my life. I learnt a lot as an actor, and as a human being.”
