While Telugu cinema is going places, Ravi Teja, one of its leading stars, has been on a rough patch for a while now. Except for Waltair Veerayya (which had Chiranjeevi in the lead role) and Dhamaka, Ravi’s recent films Ravanasura, Ramarao On Duty, and Khiladi turned out to be underwhelming affairs. Now, the first-look poster of his upcoming film Tiger Nageswara Rao has created hope among his fans as the teaser promises an intriguing film set in the 70s.

The first look promo is an animation about a village in 70s India called Stuartpuram, which is also known as Tiger Zone. “It was the 70s. A small village in the coastal region of the Bay of Bengal… Even the darkness that scares the world is afraid of the people there… The train that makes huge noise trembles when it reaches the outskirts of the area… The feet of people shudder when they see the landmark of the town… Stuartpuram is the crime capital of South India… That area has another name… Tiger Zone… The Zone of Tiger Nageswara Rao…” claims the narrator. The video ends with the poster of Ravi Teja with a menacing look.

Tiger Nageswara Rao produced by Abhishek Agarwal Arts, of The Kashmir Files and Karthikeya 2 fame, is touted to be a pan-India film, and the promo was released in Tamil, Hindi, Malayalam, and Kannada.

Directed by Vamsee, the movie also stars Nupur Sanon and Gayathri Bharadwaj in the lead roles.
