Chiranjeevi to star in daughter Sushmita’s ‘mega rocking entertainer’, will return to fantasy genre with director Vassishta

Telugu star Chiranjeevi’s fans were in for double-delight on his birthday on Tuesday, with the announcement of two new films featuring their favourite star. Chiranjeevi was recently seen in the film Bholaa Shankar, and will soon star in films produced by his daughter, Sushmita Konidela, and another one directed by Vassishta. The two films have tentatively been titled Mega156 and Mega157.

Details of Mega156 have been kept under wraps, but the announcement poster revealed that it will be made under the banner of Gold Box Entertainments. The production house made the announcement on social media, and the poster read, “A legacy of ruling the silver screen for 4 decades! A personality which evokes a plethora of emotions! A man who is celebrated on and off the screen. After 155 films, now #MEGA156 will be a MegaRocking entertainer. Happy Birthday to @KChiruTweets Garu”

Sushmita also reposted the tweet, and wrote, “Happiest birthday to my most fav person. My Dad. My Mentor. My Hero. My Inspiration. @KChiruTweets”

As for Mega157, Chiranjeevi will be returning to the fantasy genre Bimbisara director Vassishta. The announcement poster of the film shows five elements of nature. The film is said to be mounted on a huge budget and will be co-produced by V Vamsi Krishna Reddy, Pramod Uppalapati, and Vikram Reddy, under the banner of UV Creations.

The makers released the poster and wrote in the caption, “This time, its MEGA MASS BEYOND UNIVERSE. The five elements will unite for the ELEMENTAL FORCE called MEGASTAR.Happy Birthday to MEGASTAR @KChiruTweets Garu”
