Veteran film producer, and father of Pushpa 2: The Rule star Allu Arjun, Allu Aravind recently visited KIMS Cuddles Hospital in Secunderabad to meet the family members of nine-year-old Sritej, who has been fighting for his life for the past two weeks. The child was critically injured in a stampede that broke out at the premiere of Pushpa 2: The Rule, which resulted in the death of his mother, 39-year-old Revathi.

Allu Aravind reportedly interacted with the hospital doctors to inquire about Sritej’s health condition and extend support for his treatment. In a video shared on X by the PRO of Geetha Arts and Pushpa 2, Allu Aravind is seen interacting with the doctors, talking in Telugu, giving an update on the victim’s health. Watch the video here:

According to Telangana Today, he said, “I just visited and checked on the child, Sri Teja, who is in the ICU. He has been recovering and showing improvement over the past 10 days. However, doctors said it might take more time.”

Allu Aravind also assured that his family is ready to support Sritej’s treatment. “We are ready to support him. The government also came forward to support and help him in every way possible,” he added.

The producer also defended his son Allu Arjun, who has been facing criticism for not visiting the child in the hospital. Allu Aravind explained that the hospital management had advised against Allu Arjun’s visit to avoid another chaotic situation like the one that occurred on the premiere day.

“People, relatives and fans are asking why Allu Arjun is not visiting the hospital. The reason is that when Allu Arjun wanted to come the next day of the stampede, the hospital management advised against it to avoid another situation like the Hyderabad premiere day,” he said.

Allu Aravind further revealed that a case was registered against Allu Arjun, and their legal team had advised them not to meet the family. “We thought it was the right course of action. That evening, a case was registered against Allu Arjun. Our legal team, led by Niraj Reddy, clearly instructed us not to meet the boy and his family,” he said.

The producer mentioned that they faced a lot of restrictions to meet the victim and his family. He added that Allu Arjun was upset that he couldn’t meet the boy yet, and had asked him to visit the boy on his behalf.

“I visited the child after taking permission from the government,” Allu Aravind said, further adding, “I would like to thank the government and honourable Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and the hospital management for giving us permission.”

Allu Arjun was arrested in connection with the stampede incident and was sent to a 14-day judicial remand last week. However, he was later granted interim bail by the Telangana High Court on a personal bond of Rs 50,000. The star was reunited with his family on Saturday morning.
