Earlier, Adipurush was banned in Nepal as the film claimed Sita is the daughter of India, which goes against the beliefs of the country. According to Hindus in Nepal, Sita was born in a place called Janakapur, which is about 220 km from the capital city Kathmandu.
The box office collection of Adipurush has also taken a huge hit on Monday as the ticket sales drastically went down by 75 per cent. The trend is expected to continue as the film continues to receive negative reviews from critics and the audience.
