‘Amitabh Bachchan’s with me’: When Sachin Pilgaonkar teased Jaya Bachchan in a girl’s voice at 2:30 am

Sachin shared that the shooting of the movie Satte Pe Satta was almost like a picnic for all of them. However, Amitabh Bachchan’s personality left them scratching their heads because one could never guess what mood he was in. But after spending some time, he began to loosen up with the gang. “He said that there are times he is not in the mood to chit-chat and I told him he should write that on a board and wear it. He understood what we were all like and started having fun with us,” Sachin said.

Sachin addressed an incident that took place in Kashmir. “For the shoot, we went to Kashmir, and we all were staying in a regular hotel while Bachchan ji was staying with his family at a luxurious hotel. But he would often swing by our hotel after work till 2, 2:30 am.” Sachin shared that Jaya Bachchan used to wonder where is Big B till so late in the night, and they used to call her in a girl’s voice and say, “Amit ji hamare pass hain.” Knowing Sachin, Jaya Bachchan used to understand that it is a prank, and would say, “Ok, rakho unko aapne pass hi rakho.”

Sachin went on to share how Amitabh Bachchan was very professional and used to be on the sets always before time, even when he used to hang out with everyone till late at night.
